Cushing is one of the most talented players in the state of New Jersey in the class of 2005. He's plays the rover position on defense and flanker on offense. As a junior, he made 120 tackles with 10 sacks and seven interceptions on defense.
A stellar athlete, Cushing ran a 4.49 in the 40 yard dash during the Nike Combine in State College, PA. He possesses a 40-inch vertical and can bench press 320 pounds.
Coach Fred Stengel: “Brian is an outstanding athlete. He has a chance to be one of the best ever players at our school. He’s one heck of a player. On defense he’s a tremendous hitter. He’s the best hitter on the team, and he plays so physical. On offense he does a great job as a wide receiver and a runner. He plays flanker for us, but we run him sometimes.”
