a legit pro player, he'll need to become a SAVANT on the court.
If I were him, I'd be watching tapes of the classic counterpunchers in
the sport. He'll never be the biggest or the strongest. He'll need to the
grittiest, quickest and smartest.
That's a tall order for ANY player, even a kid with his gifts.
I wish he'd've gone to a top-shelf college tennis program. I think he'll
have cash from his endorsements at the end of it all (should it not work
out,) but there were bigger, stronger guys in college he could've
developed his game on. In the pros, these are grown @ss men trying
to make sure they don't end up staying in a Microtel at their next
tourney. They are trying to stay at the Ritz-Carlton, and they'll squash
a little guy like this in order to do it six ways to Sunday if that's who is
in their way.
