USA has to feel lucky after that. One good chance, they put it away.
Japan with numerous chances in front of the goal that they whiffed or
botched, two penalties the ref missed (though you could say one
cancels out Adu getting shoved in the box) and Japan literally
bombarding the USA back line in the last 10 minutes. Very shaky stuff.
