I'm looking entirely towards next year so that wouldn't be a problem.
Here's the deal...
1) Anyone I bring on must sign for minimum salary + reasonable signing
bonus; I will provide all equipment upgrades. Your bank account means
nothing in reality and the funds are better spent building a great
stadium in the off-season. As long as you have money for upgrades and
training, you're set.
2) I want to build a core of players that will last. We won't win
this year and probably not next year either. BUT if you have the
right outlook and keep salary under control, we could be a monster not
far down the road.
3) You have to understand that we can't fill the whole roster
ourselves and FA's will make more salary than you. It really doesn't
matter what they make. The core must sacrifice to fill holes with
strong players who really only make decisions based on salary, so goes
it. The key is to win games and build your player.
I have an request in for a team and am on the waiting list. I'll
advise when it goes through.
