I agree with all the names posted, but you've also got to consider guys like
Roddy Marino and Chase Monroe from the '80's, and Tom Duquette and
Jay Connor from even before that (I didnt see those guys play, but have
heard plenty from older folks).
How do you even compare players from different era's, like a Jay Connor
vs a Matt Ward....the game has changed so much. Hell, I played in the
early to mid-'90's and the equipment (sticks, helmets, gloves, etc...) is so
much different, plus the requisite size and speed needed to compete at the
top levels.
