Crowd: Filled up most of the student side, lower deck (sections 112-114). I have no
idea about a number, but pretty decent for 5 PM on a Wednesday IMO. Maybe someone else can elaborate better, I am not the best judge of basketball talent and nothing really jumped out at me. The guys were definitely really loose, having a good time (the event came after a 2 hour practice, so it was pretty light, not too much to see. A couple times Bennett saw something, for example guys trying to be a little too flashy during a transition drill, and told us that if this were during practice, he wouldn't be too happy about it). Defense looked good, lots more motion and communication than we'd see last year. They did a drill where they worked on transition defense while having everyone make noise. Bennett's questions: I noticed him trying to temper expectations a couple times, and didn't reveal too much in response to specific questions obviously (ex. starting lineup), but was a personable and funny guy. |
