bout dematha kids, or kids who graduated from hs's in the dc area.
yea simpkins went to murlin but after that...not much. and that list
of guys from dc should have an asterisk as well. Steve Francis didn't
really play at Blair and had to go to juco first. lonny baxter had to
do the same (still shaking my head that this man couldnt play his sr.
year at anacostia bc he would have been 20). mccray and garrison were
the first two kids in a while that ended up at murlin and they didnt
really shine partly bc gilchrist was a headache (actually know some
people who were around him a lot and they described his behavior as
obnoxious) and a ball hog. maryland has done well with out of towners
but the list of local kids would dominate those guys......Mike Jones
was the one guy that I thought might help get murlin over the top.
that big time guy after big game juanny dixon (great guy btw, he was
hanging out with some of my friends in baltimore one night a few years
back)...should have known something was up when the mcd's AA
announcers said there were questions about his ball handling. that
don't cut it in the ACC. as many of us are about to find out
sadly...i really hope sylven can handle.

Current Thread:
