First inning after getting the first hit of the game, Winger was
stranded on third base. Winger also had a fly ball that just about
made the fence. Most hits off Duncan were bunts. Winger did not have
the opportunity to bunt. I don't understand how you hold Winger
totally responsible for 6 left runners. His strike outs were only the
second out. The other strikeouts for Duncan were no prettier than
Winger's . Duncan got Winger (and others). It happens. Winger was not
pulled because of his strikeouts.
