Subject: I'm not a Gnats fan, but I don't see it.

A) They need more than one power hitter. There's not a single hitter
on the roster that has posted more than 250 ABs with an OPS over .800,
and Cristian Guzman is overachieving and still only posting an OPS of
.744, as is Ronnie Belliard.

B) I think their pitching staff has a little more promise, but ya
gotta question management's decision to trade away their best reliever
for second basemen in Bonifacio, doesn't have a ton of upside. Sure
he's fast, but if he can't get on base more than 34% of the time, he's
not really going to help them much.

This coming from a Braves fan who recognizes that the Braves are
pretty far from being good again, but I really don't see a lot to get
excited about there. That roster is full of mediocre players. Of
course, Zimmerman gets a pass for the season for being hurt, but I
think next year is even a crucial year for him.
