Subject: I think attendence numbers are not always the most important thing
Posted by: Zhoo on Sun Aug 3 2008 4:53:17 PM
Message:

but how much are tickets and how much people are spending at the
games....

if a team advertises $10 tickets on Monday night and 35K show up
thats only $350K for tickets.....now if they didnt have the special and
20K showed up and tickets cost $20, then they make $400K just on
tickets....

simplistic numbers and not what we were initially discussing but I was
pointing out that just talking attendance means little to the team and to
the organization.....its all about the $$$ they can make of the fans and
hopefully reinvest it wisely back into the team/facilities and minor
leagues
